BonJovi, The Awakening , Soul Classics...

ja, es gab eine ganze Menge Musikalisches zu Weihnachten..

Neben einer Konzertkarte (FRONT OF STAGE !) für eine meiner all-time-favourite-Bands namens BONJOVI * (YEAH!YEAH!YEAH!) im Mai 2008 und dem Soul Classics/Album, auf dem Chris Norman mitgemischt hat, gab es auch das langersehnte neue Album von MELISSA ETHERIDGE  "The Awakening" . Wow! Die Songs auf der Cd sind super, vor allem haben es mir "Map Of The Stars" , "California"  und "Threesome" angetan. Die ausgekoppelte Single "Message To Myself" gefällt mir auch gut.

Map Of The Stars handelt u. a. vom Schlankheitswahn und der Laufstegszene allgemein. Und Threesome ist ein Lied, das aussagt, was Melissa von einem "flotten Dreier" hält :-).

Wieder mal ein Album, das mich wirklich überzeugt und auf dem mir jeder Song gefällt. Das passiert mir auch nicht sehr oft.

Ich habe hier den Text zu MAP OF THE STARS mal aufgeschrieben.  Ich finde ihn sehr beeindruckend und vielleicht macht er den einen oder anderen etwas nachdenklich....

Close Up & Sweet Home Alabama ...

Wow, das war ein Wochenende! Ganz unter dem

Thema „Livemusik“.

Der Besuch meiner Freundin aus München hat uns sehr gefreut. Der Flieger war pünktlich...lach - und der ICE von Köln nach D’dorf sogar auch. Obwohl die Bahn gestreikt hat, fuhren vereinzelte Züge.

Das Chris Norman-Konzert im SAVOY-THEATER am Freitag in Düsseldorf war einfach klasse. Diese Stimme hat mich schon im Dezember 1974 in ihren Bann gezogen und sie tut es auch heute noch. Auch die Songs der neuen CD "Close Up" waren LIVE echt gut. 110 Minuten Hochgenuss !

Besonders erwähnenswert war, dass dies eine Accoustic-Tour war und Chris nur von einem Pianisten und den vier Streicherinnen des Fiorini Quartetts musikalisch begleitet wurde. Neu für meine Ohren, aber echt toll.

Seit 5. Oktober ist nun die brandneue CD von Chris Norman da. Es ist ein Acoustic -Album und beinhaltet 13 Songs. In ein paar Wochen seh ich Chris damit LIVE  und vielleicht gewöhne ich mich so dann besser an diese Musik. Eigentlich steh ich ja auf Balladen, also auf ruhigere Musik, aber diese Lieder, hm, die sind echt gewöhnungsbedürftig für mich. Dass ich das nach mehr als 30 Jahren mal sagen würde, hätt ich auch nicht gedacht....

Bei allen 13 Tracks "words & music by Chris Norman".

Das find ich schonmal klasse.

Okay, wir werden sehen. Bald ist es ja soweit.

Vielleicht hört Ihr mal in die Songs rein.

Heh, das war ein richtig gutes Konzert! Smokie hatte ich nun schon eine ganze Weile nicht mehr LIVE gesehen. Es wurde mal wieder Zeit und es hat sich gelohnt!!! In wenigen Wochen wollen wir das GANZE wiederholen :-)

Gestern wollten wir dann eigentlich im EBERTBAD in Oberhausen ein weiteres Konzert sehen, aber leider wurde der Gig von T.REX abgesagt. Schade. So haben wir uns einen schönen Abend in OB gemacht.
